    IconMoon Online Portfolio of JJ Ying Portfolio About Photography Blog Twitter Flickr Dribbble Linkedin Pinterest Message Message Flickr 又回来了 Dec 14 2012 设计网摘 这两天 Flickr 发布了新版的 iOS 应用 加强了拍照功能 加入了滤镜但 iPhone 版 Flickr 在产品定位 功能实现上的改变来得太晚了~ 当年的第一版在视觉设计上让人惊艳 但自始至终他都只是 Web 端的一个延伸 尽管 iPhone 早就成了 Flickr 上用户最多的相机型号 但他的移动客户端并没有把移动用户的使用需求与自身品牌很好地结合起来 移动端的积弱其实反映出 Flickr 整个产品过去几年定位不清 发展不给力 他们错失了做移动端第一照片分享平台的机会（ vs . Instagram 错过了和 Twitter 的合作（ vs . Photobucket 甚至过去一两年里在对专业摄影师的吸引力方面也渐渐败给 500px 当年 Web 版的 Flickr 网站可是设计界的标杆 但是那么多年过去了 我都从一个学生变到了快谢顶的死美工了 他的网站除了视觉上的部分调整没有太大变化（要不是梅姐来了之后几个月给导航栏做了一点视觉上的重设计 你完全可以说看起来和 6 年前一模一样 吐槽了那么多 还是说体验吧 我的第一感受是 Tab bar 好丑啊 中间的按钮蓝底灰图标 普通的黑底灰图标 选中的黑底蓝图标 这样的搭配本来就很怪 更别提那个脏脏的渐变了 尤其是选中图标的蓝色渐变很山寨啊 而图标的形 我就不说了 顺便贴一下旧版的界面设计对比一下 其中启动屏的翻页视觉效果 布局和字体的设计以及品牌色搭配的运用都让 Flickr 的 iPhone 版算得上精品了

    IconMoon Online Portfolio of JJ Ying Portfolio About Photography Blog Twitter Flickr Dribbble Linkedin Pinterest Message Message 为什么设置图标用齿轮或扳手表示 Dec 9 2012 理论教程 这篇博文来自我觉得蛮有意思的知乎提问 为什么设置图标习惯用齿轮或扳手来表示 考据方面要找到第一次使用「齿轮 和「扳手 这两个隐喻的电脑软件似乎已经很难了 不过粗粗看了一下 GUIdebook 发现貌似第一次出现在操作系统当中的扳手是 OS 2 Warp 4 里的设置 而第一次出现的齿轮是 Win 95 里的设置 一条华丽丽的分割线 以下纯猜想 OS 2 的工具箱加上里面若干工具很好地体现了「设置 所指代的意思 但是作为一个图标实在太复杂了 虽然以当时（1996 的水平已经够美观了 但是细节太多识别性较弱 所以可能后来的设计师重新提取了一下里面的元素 工具箱本身的造型相对 general 一个方盒子的指代性太弱所以选取了里面的工具 这些工具无非就是扳手 螺丝刀和锤子 锤子给人的感觉略带破坏性可能会产生歧义 所以就用了扳手和螺丝刀 很多 Linux 系统下就是这样 经常做系统图标的设计师可能很讨厌扳手 螺丝刀这两个货 因为他们都特妈是长条型的 不管是放一个还是放两个 交叉放还是平行放 只要想完整显示都很难在图标的方形区域里面放得够饱满 也许是因为这个原因 齿轮登场了 齿轮比较讨巧的地方在于从语义上人们很容易把他和扳手这类工具联系起来 生活中也算比较常见 而且在一般人的印象当中又往往是成对 成组出现的 所以从图标的设计上来讲设计师有很多选择 可以放一个单独的齿轮 一对互相咬合的齿轮或者一组前后重叠的齿轮 有很多方法能满足不同的系统图标一致性 饱满度
